Tao te Ching #4 (Stephen Mitchell translation)

The Tao is like a well
used but never used up.
It is like the eternal void
filled with infinite possibilities.

It is hidden but always present.
I don't know who gave birth to it.
It is older than God.

Interpretation:  The source of all things is infinite and contains everything.  It can never be used up and is always surrounding us.  It is not that there is no God, it is that there is nothing but God.  God existed even before the recognition or word: God... and within the source there is only possibility.
